Guntmadingen was once a small town, or "municipality," in Switzerland. It was located in the canton of Schaffhausen. On January 1, 2013, Guntmadingen joined with the nearby town of Beringen. This means it is no longer its own separate municipality.

Guntmadingen was first mentioned in old writings in the year 1111. However, this early mention might have been from a copied document that wasn't completely accurate. A more certain mention of the town, spelled Guntramingin, appeared in 1122.

The coat of arms for Guntmadingen is quite interesting. It is split down the middle into two halves. On the left side, which is red, there is a silver dove. This dove is standing on a black cross and looking to the left. It holds a green branch in its beak. On the right side, which is green, there is a golden bundle of grain. Before it merged, Guntmadingen covered an area of about 4.6 square kilometers (about 1.8 square miles). A large part of this land, almost 38%, was used for farming. Even more, about 57%, was covered by forests. The remaining small part, about 5.5%, was where buildings and roads were located.
The town was situated in a region called Oberklettgau. It sat at the bottom of a hill known as the Lauferberg. The area also included a large, wooded region higher up.
