Hairy Jeremy is a fun and quirky French stop-motion animated television show. It was created by Pierre Scarella and first came out in 1992. The show was also shown in the United Kingdom on CBBC. For British viewers, the famous singer Toyah Willcox narrated the stories.

Main Characters

• Hairy Jeremy - He is the main character, a caveman with a very hairy face. So much hair, in fact, that you can usually only see his nose! His eyes sometimes pop out when he is surprised. Hairy Jeremy is generally friendly, but he can get quite grumpy. This happens especially if someone bothers him during his nap.

• Arabella - She is an orange-furred Platypus. Arabella is one of Hairy Jeremy's good friends.

• Milly & Tilly - These are twin Emus. The narrator often gets them mixed up, which adds to the humor of the show.

• Opterod - This character is a posh-speaking, moustached grey dinosaur with ears. In one episode, he was even called Bernard.

• Chucklesaurus - A small green dinosaur, Chucklesaurus loves to play practical jokes. He often targets Hairy Jeremy with his pranks.

• Squawk - This bird is very talkative. However, he only speaks in squawks, making his conversations quite unique.

• Eggheads - These creatures look like Elephants but are shaped like eggs. They have big noses and small ears. Their small ears actually allow them to fly!

• Kite Birds - These are little blue birds. They are named "Kite Birds" because they look just like Kites flying in the sky.

• Terry Dactyl - A Pterodactyl, Terry Dactyl is not very good at flying. He is even worse at landing, which often leads to funny situations.

• Dino Monster - These are huge dinosaurs. The friends in the show are sometimes scared of them. In one episode, Hairy Jeremy even helped a baby Dino Monster hatch from its egg.

• Baby Dino - This is the baby dinosaur of the Dino Monster. Hairy Jeremy played a part in its birth.
