Hallsberg's Train Hub
Hallsberg is famous for its huge classification yard. This is where train cars are sorted and put together to form new trains. It also has a very large train station. The reason for this is that train lines from almost all directions meet here. These lines connect to big cities like Stockholm, Gothenburg, Mjölby, Örebro, and Karlstad. One very important line is the Västra stambanan, which is the "western main line." As these railways were built, Hallsberg grew around them.
