Handley is a small town located in Kanawha County, West Virginia, United States. In 2020, about 224 people lived there.

Handley was first started in 1877. It was originally called Upper Creek. On July 29, 1881, its name was changed to Handley. This new name honored the early settlers who farmed in the area. Handley is special because its name is unique; no other town in the United States shares it. The town officially became an incorporated town in November 1972.

The town is in the Upper Kanawha Valley, on the south side of the Kanawha River. It is located along West Virginia Route 61 and the Chesapeake & Ohio train tracks (now CSX Transportation). In 1899, train yards moved to Handley from a nearby town called Montgomery. For many years, trains and barges carried coal from Handley for the Chesapeake Mining Company.
