Hannah Alper is a Canadian activist, blogger, and journalist. She started making a difference and sharing stories even before she was a teenager. She is known for speaking up about important causes.

Early Life and Family
Hannah Alper was born on August 19, 2003. Her parents are Candace and Eric Alper. In 2013, her mother helped children through social programs. She also worked with summer camps and music therapy. Her father worked for eOne Music Canada. He also started a charity to buy hearing aids for children. In 2020, Hannah's family lived in Richmond Hill, Ontario. This is a suburb of Toronto.

Her Blog and Online Presence
In July 2012, Hannah started her blog called Call Me Hannah. On her blog, she wrote about things she cared about. These included animal welfare, protecting nature, and the natural environment. Within one year, her blog had over 100,000 views.
By 2020, Hannah also spoke out against bullying. She promoted "kindraising," which means changing communities through kindness. Her blog had many followers. She also had 40,000 followers on Twitter and 13,000 on Instagram. She was even interviewed by famous host George Stroumboulopoulos.
Speaking Out and Inspiring Others
In 2013, Hannah was praised for her activism by The Grid newspaper. She gave inspiring speeches for ME to WE. She also worked as an ambassador for Free the Children. Hannah spoke at the World Wildlife Fund's Earth Hour event in Toronto. She helped schoolchildren raise $975 in pennies for Free the Children.
In 2014, Hannah gave a TEDx talk called "How to find your spark." This talk was viewed over 2,400 times in less than a week. In 2017, Lilly Singh nominated Hannah for Bloomberg Businessweek's "19 people to watch in 2018." Hannah was the only teenager on that list. By mid-2020, she had given more than 400 speeches. She was also elected co-president of the B'nai B'rith Youth Organization's Lake Ontario Region chapter.

Her Book and TV Show
On November 1, 2017, Hannah's first book was released. It is called Momentus: Small Acts, Big Change. The book shares interviews with 19 of her role models. These include Lilly Singh and Malala Yousafzai. Hannah wrote the book to encourage young people to take action. She wants them to make the changes they wish to see in the world.
In 2020, Hannah appeared in the first episode of CitizenKids: Earth Comes First. This is a TV series based on the CitizenKid books. In the show, Hannah and other young people explore climate change issues. They share their ideas from a youth perspective.
