Harding is located in the northeastern part of Morrison County. It is surrounded by Pulaski Township on three sides (north, east, and south). To the west, it borders Platte Township.
The city is about 12 miles (19 km) north-northeast of Pierz. It shares a ZIP Code with Pierz. Harding is also about 25 miles (40 km) northeast of Little Falls, which is the main city for Morrison County.
