Harriet Lee Elam-Thomas, born in 1941, is an American diplomat and university professor. She leads the Diplomacy Program at the University of Central Florida (UCF) in Orlando, Florida. From 2000 to 2002, she served as the United States Ambassador to Senegal. This means she was the top U.S. representative in Senegal.
