Harry Williams Jr. (born August 10, 1982) is an American college football coach. He used to be a professional wide receiver in the NFL. Since 2024, he has been the associate head football coach and offensive coordinator for Tuskegee University.
Harry Williams was chosen by the New York Jets in the seventh round of the 2005 NFL draft. This is when NFL teams pick new players. He played college football at Tuskegee. While at Tuskegee, he joined the Lambda Epsilon chapter of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity in 2002. Williams also played for the Green Bay Packers, New York Giants, Chicago Bears, and Houston Texans.
Early Life and High School
Harry Williams grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. He went to P.D. Jackson-Olin High School. There, he was a star in two different sports: football and track. In track, he was a fast runner. He competed in both the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash.
Playing in the NFL
Harry Williams played professional football for several teams. On August 22, 2008, he had an injury during a preseason game. This was while he was playing for the Houston Texans. He was taken off the field to get medical help. Doctors later said his condition was almost back to normal. He had surgery and was able to walk on his own a few days later. After this, it was unlikely he would return to playing football.
