Hartford is a city located in Geneva County, Alabama, in the United States. It officially became a city in 1896. Hartford is part of the larger Dothan Metropolitan Area. According to the 2020 census, 2,651 people lived in Hartford. This was a small increase from the 2,624 people counted in 2010.
