Harwood is a small city in Cass County, North Dakota, in the United States. It was founded in 1881. In 2020, about 794 people lived there. Harwood is often called a "bedroom community." This means many people who live in Harwood travel to work in the nearby Fargo-Moorhead area.

History of Harwood
Harwood was officially planned out in 1881. This happened when the Great Northern Railroad built its tracks to that spot. The city was named after A. J. Harwood. He was the person who originally owned the land where the town was built. A post office has been open in Harwood since 1881, helping people send and receive mail.
