History of Haviland
Haviland was started by a group of people called Quakers. They came from Indiana. The city was named after Laura Haviland, who was a very important leader. She helped people escape slavery through the Underground Railroad.
The first post office in Haviland opened in June 1886. Haviland officially became a city in 1906.
