History of Hewlett Neck
Hewlett Neck officially became a village on April 14, 1927.
The village is known for its many large homes and properties. Some of these homes are very old, dating back to the time of the American Revolution. Hewlett Neck has a unique feel. It's like the fancy "Gold Coast" areas on the North Shore of Long Island. This is different from most of the South Shore of Nassau County, which is usually more urban.
