Heybridge is a small, mostly rural area in the Australian state of Tasmania. It is located on the north-west coast. Heybridge is part of two local government areas: Central Coast and Burnie.

This area is about 9 kilometers (about 5.6 miles) south-east of the city of Burnie. In 2021, a census showed that 339 people lived in Heybridge. It is a village where the main Bass Highway crosses the Blythe River. To the south, it is bordered by the Blythe River National Park. To the north, it meets the Bass Strait, which is a sea channel.

Post Office History

Before it was called Heybridge, there was a post office named Blythe Heads Post Office. It opened in 1947. In 1966, when the area was officially named Heybridge, the post office also changed its name to Heybridge. It stayed open until 1973.
