A Railway That Never Was

You might notice some long, open spaces in Hillcrest. These are called linear reserves. They are the leftover parts of a railway line that was planned in the 1950s. This railway was meant to go to Tea Tree Gully. However, it was never built and the project was completely stopped in the late 1970s.
