The Division of Sturt is an area in South Australia that votes for a person to represent them in the Australian Parliament. It was created in 1949. The area is named after Captain Charles Sturt, who was a famous explorer. He was the first European to visit the Murray River.
This area includes many suburbs in Adelaide, such as Athelstone, Burnside, Campbelltown, Dernancourt, Frewville, Gilles Plains, Glynde, Glenside, Hectorville, Highbury, Hillcrest, Holden Hill, Kensington, Klemzig, Magill, Marden, Paradise, Tranmere, and parts of Payneham and Rostrevor.
