Hillhead (Ward 11) is an area in Glasgow, Scotland. It is one of the 23 "wards" that make up Glasgow City Council. A ward is like a local district. Each ward elects people called councillors to represent the area. These councillors help make decisions for the city.
When Hillhead ward was first created in 2007, it elected four councillors. Later, in 2017, the ward's borders changed a bit. It became slightly smaller in population and started electing three councillors instead.

Where is Hillhead?
Hillhead is located to the west of Glasgow city centre. The main parts of the ward include Hillhead itself, Kelvinbridge, and the University of Glasgow main campus at Gilmorehill. Other areas like Woodlands and Woodside are also part of it.
The ward has clear boundaries. The M8 motorway forms its south-east edge. The Port Dundas branch of the Forth and Clyde Canal is on its north-east side.
Changes to the Ward Borders
In 2017, some big changes happened to Hillhead's borders.
- Areas like Dowanhill and Hyndland moved to a new ward called Partick East/Kelvindale.
- Byres Road became the new south-west border.
- Most of the North Kelvinside area joined Hillhead from the Canal ward.
- The Park District and Kelvingrove Park became part of Hillhead. These areas used to be in the Anderston/City ward.
After these changes, Hillhead became the smallest ward in terms of physical size. However, it is still the most densely populated ward in Glasgow. This means many people live there, even though it's not a very large area.
