A Look Back at Hillman
Hillman was officially planned out in July 1908. It was named after a nearby stream called Hillman Creek. A post office opened in Hillman in 1913. This post office helped people send and receive mail until it closed in 1994.
Where is Hillman?
Hillman is located in the eastern part of Morrison County. It is surrounded by a place called Leigh Township. This small city is about 12 miles east of Pierz. It is also about 28 miles east of Little Falls, which is the main city of Morrison County. If you travel by road, it is about 16 miles southwest of Onamia.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Hillman covers about 0.62 square miles of land. There are no water areas inside the city limits. Hillman Creek flows through the northern part of the city. It then goes west and joins the Skunk River near Pierz.
