Imboden District (also known as German: Bezirk Imboden in German or Romansh: District dal Plaun in Romansh) was an important administrative area in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. It covered about 203.78 square kilometers (78.68 sq mi) and had a population of 20,158 people in 2015. This district was replaced by the Imboden Region on January 1, 2017. This change was part of a big reorganization of how the canton was set up.
The district was made up of two smaller areas called Kreise (sub-districts). These sub-districts then contained a total of seven municipalities, which are like towns or villages.
