The Youth Olympic Games (YOG) are a big international sports event for young athletes. They are held every four years, similar to the main Olympic Games. There are Summer Youth Olympics and Winter Youth Olympics.
Iran has sent athletes to every Summer and Winter Youth Olympic Games since they first started. The first Summer Games were in 2010 and the first Winter Games were in 2012. Iran has done very well, especially in the Summer Games, winning many medals!
