Isabel Pantoja grew up in a family of musicians. Her father and grandfather were both singers.

Isabel started singing very young, at age seven. She joined a flamenco group with her cousin. When she was 17, she met Juan Solano Pedrero. He helped write her first popular songs. Sadly, on September 26, 1984, Paquirri died in the bullring. Isabel became known as "Spain's widow" in the news. She was often on the cover of magazines. After taking a break, she released a new album. It was called Marinero de Luces. This album sold one million copies in Spain.
