JaCoby Stevens was born on June 19, 1998. He is an American who used to play professional American football. He was a linebacker, which is a defensive player who stops the other team. JaCoby played college football for the LSU Tigers. Today, he works for LSU as a recruiting specialist, helping to find new players for the team.

Growing Up and High School Football
JaCoby Stevens grew up in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He first went to The Ensworth School. Later, he moved to Oakland High School.
At Oakland High, JaCoby was a star athlete. He played both wide receiver on offense and defensive back on defense. He was also a member of the basketball team.
During his junior year, he made 84 tackles and had six interceptions. He also scored two touchdowns on defense. On offense, he caught 32 passes for 806 yards. He scored 11 touchdowns receiving and three rushing touchdowns.
In his senior year, he continued to shine. He had 61 tackles and nine interceptions on defense. He also caught 34 passes for 689 yards and 12 touchdowns. Because of his amazing skills, he was named Tennessee's Mr. Football.
JaCoby was considered a top player by college scouts. He decided to play college football at LSU.
College Football Journey
When JaCoby first started at LSU, he played both safety and wide receiver. He played in six games during his first year. He even started one game as a wide receiver.
Before his second year, JaCoby focused only on playing safety. He became a starter for the last four games of that season. He made 35 tackles and had an interception.
In 2019, JaCoby had a fantastic season. He made 85 tackles and had five sacks. He also intercepted three passes. He was recognized as a second-team All-Southeastern Conference player. That year, he helped LSU win the National Championship. This was a huge achievement for the team!
For the 2020 season, JaCoby was chosen to wear the special #7 jersey. This jersey is given to the player who is considered the biggest playmaker on the LSU team.

In 2021, JaCoby Stevens was chosen in the 2021 NFL draft. The Philadelphia Eagles picked him in the sixth round. He was the 224th player chosen overall.
He signed a four-year contract with the Eagles on June 9, 2021. The contract was worth $3.6 million. However, he was waived by the team on August 31, 2021. This means the team released him from the main roster. The next day, he was re-signed to their practice squad. A practice squad is a group of players who train with the team but are not on the active roster.
On January 2, 2022, JaCoby played in his first NFL game. It was a game against the Washington Football Team. He made one tackle in the Eagles' 20-16 victory. After the season, he signed a reserve/future contract with the Eagles.
On August 30, 2022, the Eagles waived JaCoby again.

On August 3, 2023, JaCoby Stevens returned to LSU. He joined the LSU football coaching staff. He now works as a recruiting specialist for the team. This means he helps find and convince talented young players to come play for LSU.
