Japanizi: Going, Going, Gong! is a fun Canadian game show for kids. It has a Japanese style. Teams work together to beat challenges that test their minds, strength, and smarts. The show first aired on YTV in Canada on November 5, 2013. It also started on Disney XD in the United States on November 4, 2013.

Yoshi Amao is the host. Masayuki Hashimoto plays "Judge Masa." The show also features ninjas, led by Shinobi, who translates English. Another fun character is Glasses Man from the audience.

Japanizi is based on a show called I Survived A Japanese Game Show. David Sidebotham created it. This kids' game show uses funny costumes, moving conveyor belts, dizzy chairs, and giant fans. It also has velcro walls for themed games. The show uses some Japanese language, but it is mostly in English.

Marblemedia, a company from Toronto, produces Japanizi. They also made other game shows like Splatalot and The Adrenaline Project. Marblemedia creates great kids' programs for TV, web, and mobile.

On August 20, 2014, YTV and Disney XD said that Japanizi: Going, Going, Gong! was not cancelled. They reported that they had not yet decided if the show would return.

In the show, four teams compete on three different courses. Only one team can win the huge trophy. Ninja Shinobi also gives a funny, fake prize that makes the audience laugh.

Who Are the Contestants?

The contestants on the show are young people. They are usually between 12 and 16 years old. They come from all over Canada to compete.

Exciting Challenges

This is a list of some of the cool challenges you might see on the show.

Hungry Man Pizza Drop

Teams dress up like pizza slices. They take turns carrying stacks of pizza boxes. They must cross a wobbly bridge over a pool. The goal is to set the boxes on tables on the other side. Ninjas try to knock players into the pool by throwing balls.

Happy Penguin Fun

Teams wear penguin suits or sit in a toboggan. One player slides down a ramp with help from a ninja. They try to stop on a target without falling into the pool. Players get points for landing on different parts of the target. The closest to the center wins in case of a tie.

Human Sticky Jump

Teams wear special Velcro suits. One person from each team runs down a ramp. They jump on a small trampoline. Then they try to stick to a Velcro wall that has a pattern. Judge Masa decides which player matched the pattern best. The first team to win two out of three jumps wins.

Fish and Slips

Teams work together to carry giant fish. They move them from one side of the course to their collection boxes. The floor is slippery, and strong winds blow. Ninjas also throw objects to make it harder. If there's a tie, Judge Masa counts a certain type of fish.

Silly Soccer Penalty Kick

Each team member takes a turn. They try to kick as many soccer balls into a goal as they can. The tricky part is they wear special goggles. These goggles make it hard to see and aim.

Lucky Miso Noodle Party

Teammates take turns collecting soup in their bowls. They carry it across the course. Then they pour it into a collection container. If a player falls, they must go back to the start and try again.

Teazy Does It

Contestants stand on a moving conveyor belt. They try to serve cups of tea to guests. As the cups fill, the conveyor belt moves faster. The goal is to fill many teacups before falling off.

Most Extreme Froggy Hop

Teammates take turns carrying "froggy eggs." They cross small spinning platforms. They put the eggs into bowls on the other side. If there is a tie, they pop the eggs they collected. Green goo is worth a point, but blue goo is worth nothing.

Fine Feathered Frenzy

Teams dress as ducks. They take turns carrying golden "duck eggs" across a tilting bridge over a pool. They must avoid balls thrown by ninjas. In a tie, teams pick an egg. If it has a snake, they are out. If it has a chicken, they stay in the game.

Bubble Tea Bungee Bungle

One teammate is the Chef, and the other is the Waiter. Both are tied to a central platform with a bungee cord. The Chef pours "bubble tea" at one end. The Waiter takes the cups and serves them to "customers" at the other end. If there's a tie, Judge Masa measures the team's bubble tea.

Cutting Ties

One teammate sits above a tank of water. The other stands in front of colored tubes. The standing teammate chooses which tubes to cut. One tube will dunk their partner into the water.

Baby Go Boom Boom

Teams wear baby costumes and are tied back-to-back. They must grab pacifiers with their mouths. Then they put them on plates held by ninjas. The ninjas are also dressed like babies and are in cribs.

Train Ring A Ding

Teams must dunk their face in whipped cream to find teething rings. They also lift a balloon of a train track. They must do this before a train comes and pops the balloon. If the balloon pops, that player cannot continue. If both players' balloons pop, the game is over for them.

Filthy Fortune

Teams wear swimsuits. They look for coins at the bottom of a pool filled with toys. Starfish coins count as points. Snail coins are worth nothing.

Multi-Leg Octodash

All four teams run with three legs tied together. They carry seawater from a large bowl to a smaller one.

Masterpiece Mayhem

One contestant from each team provides paint. The other is on a moving conveyor belt. They try to paint a numbers picture. The conveyor belt speeds up. Artists must fall back to a black line to change colors.

Lobster Mouse Chopstick Fun

One contestant from each team dresses as a lobster. They hang over a pit of battery-operated mice. Using giant chopsticks, teams pick up as many mice as they can.

Worst Subway Ride Ever!

This game has two rounds. In Round 1, all four teams stand on a wobbly platform. They hold onto handles above them. Ninjas throw objects. The first two teams to fall or touch the ground go to a sudden death round.

Tokyo Belt Bike Race

All three teams race head-to-head in several rounds. One contestant from each team rides a small bicycle on a conveyor belt. They try to hit a buzzer with their head. When the buzzer is pressed, it makes the other contestant's conveyor belt go faster. The goal is to make opponents fall off their conveyor belt first.

Inconvenient Bubble Catch

Partners take turns wearing large bubble orbs. They try to catch balls fired into the air by ninjas. The orbs are very bouncy. Colliding with another team could cause problems.
