About Jasmine Jobson
Jasmine Jobson was born on May 9, 1995, in Hayes, West London, England. Her mother has Irish and Greek-Cypriot family, and her father is Jamaican.
Early Life and Talent
From a young age, around six years old, Jasmine loved to sing. She would copy famous TV stars. Her mother noticed her talent and enrolled her in 'Paddington Arts'. This is a group that helps young people in London develop their creative skills. Jasmine was able to improve her talents there.
Jasmine spent five years living in foster care in West Drayton. This experience helped her learn to use her feelings in her acting. When she auditioned for Top Boy, the casting director asked her to show anger. Jasmine used her emotions to deliver a powerful performance, which helped her get the role.
Jasmine also joined the Big House Theatre. This group offers drama workshops and training. It helps young people who have been in the UK's care system. The workshops teach teamwork, how to handle challenges, and build confidence. Maggie Norris, who runs Big House, said Jasmine was an amazing talent.
