After some injuries, Hearts released him in 2012. But Jason didn't give up! He had a great season with Hutchison Vale. This led to him signing with Hibernian in 2013.

He made his first senior appearance for Hibernian in November 2013. In May 2014, he scored his first two goals. This helped Hibernian win a play-off match. However, Hibs later lost and were moved down to a lower league.

Moving to Nottingham Forest and Loan Spells

In June 2017, Jason signed a three-year contract with Nottingham Forest. He scored his first goal for them in his very first game.
