Timucin Lam, known as Jax Jones, is a popular English DJ and music producer. He also creates remixes of songs. He became famous in 2014. This happened when he was featured on Duke Dumont's hit song "I Got U". Later, Jax Jones released his own successful songs. These included "You Don't Know Me" with Raye in 2016. Another hit was "Instruction" with Demi Lovato and Stefflon Don in 2017. His first album, Snacks (Supersize), came out in 2019.

Jax Jones was born on July 25, 1987, in London, England. His father is Turkish, and his mother is Chinese-Malaysian. His father gave him the name Timucin.
His stepfather, who was Nigerian, introduced him to different music styles. Jax listened to afrobeat music by Fela Kuti. He also heard rap music from The Notorious B.I.G.. Jax grew up listening to hip hop, R&B, gospel, and traditional African music. His mother enjoyed music from artists like Kylie Minogue and Luther Vandross.
These different music styles influenced Jax Jones a lot. He was also inspired by music producers like the Neptunes and Timbaland. He loved learning how different parts of a song fit together. Jax started playing classical guitar when he was young. At 15, he began making his own beats. He used a music software called Cubase on a friend's computer.

Starting Out in London
Jax Jones began performing at open mic clubs in London. He met a grime producer named Ripperman. They worked together on music for artists like Big Narstie. When he was 18, his parents wanted him to go to university. Jax chose to study at Brunel University in Uxbridge. This allowed him to stay close to the studio where he worked. Becoming Famous in 2014
Jax Jones met another DJ named Duke Dumont. He became very interested in house music. They worked together to write and produce several songs. These included "I Got U", "Won't Look Back", and "Ocean Drive". Jax Jones was featured on the song "I Got U". This song became number one on the UK Singles Chart in March 2014. This was a big moment for Jax Jones and helped him become a well-known artist.
The Snacks Album Era
On July 24, 2015, Jax Jones released his single "Yeah Yeah Yeah". In July 2016, he released "House Work". He said he wanted to put his own creative energy into his music. In December 2016, he released "You Don't Know Me". This song used a sample from "Body Language" by M.A.N.D.Y. vs. Booka Shade. "You Don't Know Me" became his most successful song. Jax Jones also formed a music duo called Europa with DJ Martin Solveig. Their first song together was "All Day and Night". It was on Jones's 2018 EP Snacks. It was released as a single in March 2019. They released their next song, "Tequila", in February 2020. This song also featured Raye. Their third song, "Lonely Heart", with singer GRACEY, came out on June 2, 2022.
On October 9, 2020, Jones released "I Miss U" with singer Au/Ra. This song reached number 25 on the UK Singles Chart. Jax Jones shared that the song was about missing people during the COVID-19 pandemic. He said it was okay to feel that way sometimes.
In January 2021, Jax Jones supported a remix of his song '100 Times'. On June 4, 2021, he started his own record label called WUGD. This was in partnership with Polydor Records. The first song from his new label was "Feels". It was the main song from his second EP, Deep Joy, released on July 2, 2021.
On August 13, 2021, he released "Out Out". This was a song with DJ Joel Corry, featuring Charli XCX and Saweetie. It reached number 6 on the UK Singles Chart.
On February 4, 2022, Jones released "Where Did You Go?" with MNEK. This song became Jax Jones's eighth top 10 hit in the UK. It reached number 7 on the UK Singles Chart. On March 18, 2022, Jones worked with Mabel and Galantis on the song "Good Luck".
On June 4, 2022, he performed at the Platinum Party at the Palace. This event celebrated the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. He performed with Nandi Bushell, Stefflon Don, Mabel, and John Newman.
On March 10, 2023, Jones released "Whistle" with singer Calum Scott. On August 11, 2023, a Jax Jones remix of "Do It Like That" by Tomorrow X Together (TXT) and Jonas Brothers was released.
Personal Life
Jax Jones is married and has two daughters. His first daughter, Lawana, was born on September 18, 2020. His second daughter, Ariyah, was born on March 5, 2023.
