A Musical Journey
Ina Wroldsen started her music career by recording her own songs. But soon, she also began writing songs for other artists. She became very successful as a songwriter and is now known around the world for her amazing work. She has won many awards, like BMI and ASCAP awards, and has been nominated for others, including the BRIT award and Spellemannprisen.
Many famous singers have used her songs, such as Shakira, Kylie Minogue, David Guetta, Britney Spears, and Demi Lovato.
Between 2013 and 2018, Ina also started recording her own music again. She was part of the duo Ask Embla and they released an album called Northern Lights in Norway in 2013. After that, she continued her solo career, releasing popular songs like "Aliens (Her er jeg)" (2014), "Rebels" (2015), and "Lay It on Me" (2016). "Lay It on Me" was a collaboration with the Norwegian duo Broiler and became a big hit, reaching number 2 on the music charts in Norway.
In 2015, famous DJ Calvin Harris and the group Disciples chose to release Ina's song "How Deep Is Your Love" using her voice. This song became very popular worldwide.
In 2016, Ina was a judge on the Norwegian TV show Idol: Jakten på en superstjerne, where new singers compete. She has also lent her voice to songs by well-known DJs like Sigma, Steve Aoki, Jax Jones ("Breathe"), and Martin Solveig ("Places").
In June 2017, she signed a record deal with Simon Cowell's music label, Syco Music. Later that year, she released her single "Strongest", which was very successful in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden. Thanks to this song, she was nominated for "Song of the Year" at the Spellemannprisen awards in 2019.
In August 2018, she released "Favela" with DJ Alok. This song featured her vocals and was inspired by a documentary about women in Latin America.
From 2021 to 2024, Ina was a coach on The Voice Norway, a singing competition show. She even won the 2022 season with her team member, Jørgen Dahl Moe.
