Jerry Lee Rice Jr. is a former American football player. He was born on July 27, 1991. He played as a wide receiver, which is a position in football where players catch passes. Jerry Rice Jr. played college football for the UCLA Bruins and the UNLV Rebels. He is also the son of the famous Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver, Jerry Rice.

Jerry Rice Jr.'s Early Life and College Football
Jerry Rice Jr. grew up in Atherton, California. He went to Menlo School for high school. After high school, he started his college football journey at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He earned his first degree there in June 2013.
After UCLA, he decided to continue his education and play football at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). He played for the Rebels while working on his master's degree.
Playing Professional Football
After college, Jerry Rice Jr. hoped to play in the National Football League (NFL). He tried out for a few teams, including the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers were special because his father, Jerry Rice, played most of his career there.
Time with the Washington Redskins
On June 26, 2014, Jerry Rice Jr. signed a contract with the Washington Redskins. He joined their training camp, hoping to make the team. However, on August 1, he got an injury to his shoulder. Because of this injury, the Redskins decided to release him a few days later. He was then placed on the Redskins' injured reserve list. He was officially released by the Redskins on May 4, 2015.
Playing in Canada
After his time with the Redskins, Jerry Rice Jr. moved to play in the Canadian Football League (CFL). On October 8, 2015, he joined the practice team for the Montreal Alouettes. He stayed with the Alouettes until June 14, 2016, when he was released from the team.
Jerry Rice Jr.'s Family
Jerry Rice Jr. comes from a family of athletes. He is the second oldest of four children. His father, Jerry Rice, is one of the greatest football players ever. Jerry Jr. also has a younger brother named Brenden Rice, who also plays football. His second cousin, Jordan Matthews, also became a wide receiver in the NFL.
