Jerry Lee Rice Jr. was born on July 27, 1991. He is an American former football player. He played as a wide receiver, which is a player who catches passes. Jerry Jr. is famous for being the son of Jerry Rice, a legendary football player.
Jerry Jr. played college football for two teams: the UCLA Bruins and the UNLV Rebels. After college, he tried to join the NFL. The Washington Redskins signed him in 2014, but he was released shortly after. He never played in an official NFL game.

Early Life and College Football
Jerry Rice Jr. grew up in Atherton, California. He went to Menlo School for high school. After high school, he played college football at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He earned his bachelor's degree there in June 2013.
For his final year of college football, he decided to move. He went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) to get his master's degree. While there, he also played football for the UNLV Rebels.
Professional Football Attempts
After finishing college, Jerry Rice Jr. wanted to play professional football. He tried out for a few teams.
Washington Redskins
In 2014, Jerry Jr. tried out for the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers. His dad, Jerry Rice Sr., used to play for the 49ers. On June 26, 2014, Jerry Jr. signed a contract with the Washington Redskins.
However, his time with the Redskins was short. On August 1, he got an injury during training camp. It was a torn labrum, which is a part of the shoulder. Because of this injury, the Redskins released him a few days later. He was then placed on their injured reserve list. The Redskins officially released him on May 4, 2015.
Montreal Alouettes
Jerry Rice Jr. then tried playing in the Canadian Football League (CFL). On October 8, 2015, he joined the practice team for the Montreal Alouettes. A practice team is where players train with the main team but don't play in games yet. He was released by the Alouettes on June 14, 2016.
Family Life
Jerry Rice Jr. is the second oldest of four children. His father is the famous football player Jerry Rice. His younger brother, Brenden Rice, also became a football player. Jerry Jr. is also related to Jordan Matthews, who played as an NFL receiver.
