Jeryl Henry Braxton Sasser (born February 13, 1979) is a former American professional basketball player. He played for the SMU Mustangs in college. Later, he played professionally in the NBA for the Orlando Magic. He also played for teams in other countries, like Kuwait.

Early Life and College Career
Jeryl Sasser was born in Dallas, Texas. He went to Justin F. Kimball High School. After high school, he played college basketball at Southern Methodist University (SMU).
College Achievements
Jeryl was a very good college player. He won several awards while playing for SMU:
- He was named the WAC Player of the Year in 1999. This means he was the best player in his college conference that year.
- In 1998, he was the WAC Freshman of the Year. This award goes to the best first-year player.
- He was chosen for the First-team All-WAC twice (1999, 2000).
- He was also on the Second-team All-WAC twice (1998, 2001).
- In 2000, he received an honorable mention as an All-American by the AP.
Professional Basketball Career
After his successful college career, Jeryl Sasser was ready for the next step.
NBA Draft and Orlando Magic
In 2001, Jeryl was picked by the Orlando Magic in the 2001 NBA draft. He was the 22nd player chosen overall. He played two seasons for the Magic, which were his only seasons in the NBA. During his time with the Magic, he averaged about 2.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. His last NBA game was in May 2003.
Playing Overseas
After his time in the NBA, Jeryl played basketball in other leagues around the world.
- He played for the Yakima Sun Kings in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA).
- He also played in France for the team Élan Béarnais Pau-Orthez.
- In November 2005, he signed with Bnei HaSharon in Israel.
- From 2007 to 2009, Jeryl played for Al Arabi in Kuwait. He helped his team win the Kuwait League Championship in 2008.
