Jason Jermane Sasser (born January 13, 1974) is a former American professional basketball player. He played as a small forward. Jason stood 6 feet 7 inches tall and weighed 225 pounds. He played college basketball for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Sasser also played in the NBA and for the US national team.

Early Life and College Basketball
Jason Sasser grew up in Dallas, Texas. He went to Justin F. Kimball High School there. After high school, he played college basketball. He played for the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 1992 to 1996. He was a very good player in college. In 1996, he was named the Southwest Conference Player of the Year. He also earned All-American honors that year.
Playing in the NBA
In 1996, Jason Sasser was chosen in the 1996 NBA draft. The Sacramento Kings picked him in the second round. He played for a few NBA teams. These included the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks. He played in the NBA from 1997 to 1999.
Success in Other Leagues
Outside the NBA, Jason Sasser played in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). He played for teams like the Gary Steelheads and Yakama Sun Kings. He was named the CBA Rookie of the Year in 1997. He also made the All-CBA First Team in 1999. In 1998, he was the CBA scoring champion.
Jason also played basketball in many other countries. He played in Spain, Germany, and Portugal. He also played in Kuwait, the Philippines, and South Korea. His career lasted until 2009.
Representing Team USA
Jason Sasser also played for the US national team. He helped the team win a bronze medal. This was at the 1998 FIBA World Championship in Greece. He also won a gold medal with the team at the 1997 FIBA Americas Championship in Montevideo.
