Jessica Shaia "Jessi" Cruickshank (born July 17, 1982) is a well-known Canadian television host. You might know her from shows like The After Show on MTV Canada, where she talked about popular TV series with her co-host Dan Levy. She also hosted the fun competition show Canada's Smartest Person and the lifestyle show The Goods on CBC.

Early Life and School
Jessi Cruickshank was born in Calgary, Alberta, but she spent most of her childhood in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her mom, Joyce Resin, was also on TV and hosted a CBC show about health. Jessi has an older sister, Amanda Grace, who is a news reporter in Seattle.
In high school, Jessi showed off her funny side. She joined an all-boys improv comedy group. Improv comedy is a type of acting where you make up the scenes and lines on the spot! Two of her group members were Seth Rogen and Nathan Fielder, who are now famous comedians. After high school, she went to the University of Toronto and studied English and Drama.
Career in Television
Jessi's career started when she was very young with a role in a Christmas commercial. When she was a teenager, she had a small part in a TV movie called For Hope, which was directed by Bob Saget. Before she became a big star on MTV, she co-hosted a show on YTV called Weird On Wheels.
Hosting on MTV
Jessi was one of the first hosts of the popular show MTV Live. She worked with other hosts like Daryn Jones and Nicole Holness. She became especially famous for co-hosting The After Show, where she and Dan Levy would discuss episodes of hit shows like The Hills and The City.
