Jessica Amy Barden (born 21 July 1992) is an English actress. She started acting when she was a child. She is well-known for her role as Alyssa in the TV show The End of the ... World (2017–2019). Jessica was also nominated for a British Independent Film Award for her acting in the movie Scarborough (2018).
Jessica has appeared in many other films, including Hanna (2011) and The Lobster (2015). On television, she has starred in the drama Lambs of God (2019) and the thriller Pieces of Her (2022). She also appeared in the romantic comedy You & Me (2023).

Jessica Barden was born on 21 July 1992 in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, England. Her family moved to Wetherby, West Yorkshire, when she was three years old. Jessica's father worked as a prison officer, and her mother was an accountant. She also has two brothers.

Jessica found her love for acting through school and her father's interest in movies. She began taking drama classes at a local club. She also worked as an extra in television shows. Jessica left school when she was 15 years old to focus on her acting career.

Becoming a Soap Opera Star
When Jessica was 14, she joined the cast of the ITV soap opera Coronation Street. She played the character Kayleigh Morton from March 2007 to September 2008. Jessica also made her first movie appearance in the 2007 comedy-drama Mrs Ratcliffe's Revolution. In 2009, she acted in the play Jerusalem in London.

Personal Life
Jessica Barden married director Max Winkler in March 2021. In October 2021, she announced that they had welcomed their first child, a daughter. Jessica has also spoken openly about her experiences with anxiety and therapy.
