John Payne's Acting Career
John Payne started his acting career with a small part in the movie Dodsworth in 1936. In 1938, he got a role in the comedy film College Swing. This movie was directed by Raoul Walsh.
He also performed on Broadway, which is a famous theater district in New York City. He was on Broadway from 1935 to 1939.
