Kelly Clark (born July 26, 1983) is an American snowboarder. She is famous for winning a gold medal in the halfpipe event at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Kelly started snowboarding at age 7. She began competing in 1999 and joined the US Snowboard team in 2000. On January 25, 2019, Kelly announced she was retiring from the sport at the Winter X Games in Aspen.

About Kelly Clark
Kelly Clark was born in Newport, Rhode Island. She trained for competitive snowboarding at Mount Snow Academy in Vermont. She finished school there in the spring of 2001.
Olympic Achievements
Kelly won a gold medal in the women's halfpipe at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. She also competed in the halfpipe at the 2006 Winter Olympics. In 2006, she finished fourth. Other American snowboarders, Hannah Teter and Gretchen Bleiler, won medals that year.
At the 2010 Vancouver Olympics, Kelly won a bronze medal in the halfpipe. She placed third behind Hannah Teter and Australia's Torah Bright. Kelly also won a bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Professional Snowboarding Career
Kelly had a very successful career on the TTR World Tour. In the 2007/2008 season, she finished on the podium eight times. Five of these were major wins, including the Burton European Open.
In the 2008/2009 season, she became the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour Champion. This shows she was the best snowboarder on the tour that year.
Kelly lived in Mammoth Lakes, California during her career.
Her Faith and Book
Kelly Clark is a Christian. She often had a sticker on her snowboard that said, "Jesus, I cannot hide my love." In 2017, she wrote a book called Inspired. In her book, she talks about her faith and what she learned from being a professional snowboarder.
Personal Life
Kelly Clark married Marcus Hemington in March 2023. In May 2024, she shared that she was expecting her first child, a baby girl.
Awards and Honors
In 2015, Kelly Clark received a special award. She won the Best Female Action Sports Athlete ESPY Award. This award celebrates top athletes in action sports.
