Che' Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor was born as Khaleeda binti Bustamam on July 16, 1993. She is the wife of Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim. Tunku Ismail is the Crown Prince of the Malaysian state of Johor. Because of her marriage, she is known as the Consort of the Regent and Crown Prince of Johor.
Early Life and Education
Khaleeda binti Bustamam was born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She was born at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital on July 16, 1993. She is the fifth child of Bustamam bin Daud and Aziyah binti Abdul Aziz.
She went to Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Taman Seri Gombak. This school is in Selangor. She attended from 2001 to 2003. While there, she enjoyed dance and track & field sports.
Later, she moved to England with her family. Her mother worked for the Malaysian High Commissioner in the United Kingdom. In England, she went to St. George's School. Then, in 2004, she joined Westminster Academy in London.
In 2009, she came back to Malaysia. She studied at the Sri Utama School in Kuala Lumpur. She finished her studies there in 2010. Khaleeda speaks three languages very well: Malay, English, and Spanish.
Family Life
Khaleeda married Tunku Ismail, the Crown Prince of Johor. Their wedding was on October 24, 2014. It was a private ceremony held at Istana Bukit Serene.
After her marriage, she received the special title Che' Puan. This title is similar to "Lady" in English. It is given to the wife of a Crown Prince who is not born into a royal family.
Khaleeda and Tunku Ismail have four children:
- Their first child, a daughter, was born on June 25, 2016. Her name is Tunku Khalsom Aminah Sofiah.
- Their second child, a son, was born on October 14, 2017. His name is Tunku Iskandar Abdul Jalil Abu Bakar Ibrahim. He is also known as the Raja Muda of Johor.
- Their third child, another son, was born on July 17, 2019. His name is Tunku Abu Bakar Ibrahim.
- Their fourth child, a second daughter, was born on April 21, 2021. Her name is Tunku Zahrah Zarith Aziyah.
Public Roles
Khaleeda has important roles in public life. She is the Pro-Chancellor of University of Technology Malaysia. She started this role in 2021. She also leads the Malaysian Girl Guides Association for the Johor State Branch.

On January 7, 2024, the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, made a special announcement. He commanded that Khaleeda should be called Her Highness Che' Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor in all official documents.
She has also received special awards, called honours, from Johor:
- She received the First Class of the Royal Family Order of Johor (DK I) on March 23, 2019. This is a very high honour.
- She was also given the Knight Grand Commander of the Order of the Crown of Johor (SPMJ) on March 15, 2015. This honour also gave her the title Datin Paduka.
