David Anthony Love Jr. (born February 7, 1967), known to many as Kid Capri, is a famous American DJ and rapper. He is known for his amazing skills on the turntables and for producing music for many top artists.

Early Life and Music
Kid Capri was born in Brooklyn, but he grew up mostly in The Bronx, New York City. His love for music started very early. When he was just eight years old, David Anthony Love Jr. would play around with records on his dad's old stereo system. As he got older, he started making his own DJ mixes. He would sell these mixes and perform at local parties, quickly becoming known for his talent.

TV Shows and Producing Hits
He became very popular after appearing on the HBO comedy show Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam. He was the DJ for seven seasons of the show! Later, he returned for a special 25th Anniversary show on Netflix in 2017.
Kid Capri has also produced songs for many big names in music. These include Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z, Madonna, and 50 Cent. He even produced a song on Jay-Z's famous album, Hard Knock Life. He has also toured with stars like Jay-Z, Aaliyah, and Salt-N-Pepa.
Albums and Record Labels
In 1991, Kid Capri released his own album called The Tape with Warner Brothers Records. Later, in 1998, he released another album, Soundtrack to the Streets. He also started his own record label called No Kid'n Records.
DJ Battles and Awards
Kid Capri has shown off his DJ skills at big events. He was the DJ for rapper Rakim at the "Rock the Bells" concerts in 2007 and 2008. He was also the main judge on a TV show called Master of the Mix. This show looked for the best DJ in the country.
In 2018, Kid Capri received the Red Award from Snoop Dogg. This award honored another famous DJ, DJ Red Alert. In 2021, he was honored by being added to the Bronx Walk of Fame.
Recent Projects
In 2022, Kid Capri released his third album, The Love. This was his first album in 25 years! His daughter, R&B singer Vina Love, is featured on the album. He has also worked with other artists, like The Hoodies, on their album Hidden Gems in 2023.
Kid Capri has also been a big part of celebrating hip hop music. He hosted a tribute to Jam Master Jay at the 2003 BET Awards. Twenty years later, in 2023, he hosted a special segment for Hip-Hop's 50th Anniversary at the BET Awards. Until late 2023, he hosted "The Block Party" on SiriusXM FLY every weekend.
