Kikuzo Kisaka (木坂 規矩三, Kisaka Kikuzo) was a Japanese football player. He played as a forward, which is a player whose main job is to score goals. He was also a member of the Japan national team.
Club Career
After finishing his studies at Kobe Higher Commercial School, Kikuzo Kisaka joined a football club called Osaka SC. This club was very strong at the time. Many other famous Japanese national team players also played for Osaka SC during those years. Some of these players included Kiyoo Kanda, Shiro Azumi, Fukusaburo Harada, Usaburo Hidaka, Toshio Hirabayashi, Setsu Sawagata, Yoshio Fujiwara, and Shumpei Inoue.
Playing for Japan's National Team
In May 1923, Kikuzo Kisaka was chosen to play for the Japanese national team. This was a big honor! He joined the team for the 1923 Far Eastern Championship Games, which were held in Osaka, Japan.
His first game for Japan was on May 23, 1923, against the Philippines. This match was very important because it was the first official international game ever played by the Japan national team.
