Kinuso is a small community known as a hamlet in northern Alberta, Canada. It is located near the southern shore of Lesser Slave Lake. The area around Kinuso is also surrounded by the Swan River First Nation reserve. You can find Kinuso along Highway 2, about 48 kilometers (30 miles) west of Slave Lake.
The name Kinuso comes from the Cree word kinosêw, which means 'fish'.
Kinuso used to be an official village. However, it changed its status to a hamlet on September 1, 2009. This means it is now governed by Big Lakes County.
