According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.55 square miles (1.42 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 678 people, 249 households, and 175 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,232.7 inhabitants per square mile (475.9/km2). There were 284 housing units at an average density of 516.4 per square mile (199.4/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 95.9% White, 0.3% Native American, 0.4% Asian, and 3.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.3% of the population.
There were 249 households of which 41.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.2% were married couples living together, 12.0% had a female householder with no husband present, 4.0% had a male householder with no wife present, and 29.7% were non-families. 22.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.59 and the average family size was 3.06.
The median age in the city was 33.7 years. 27.3% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.5% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 29.6% were from 25 to 44; 23% were from 45 to 64; and 12.7% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 50.0% male and 50.0% female.
As of the census of 2000, there were 441 people, 171 households, and 107 families residing in the city. The population density was 986.3 people per square mile (378.4/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.51% White, 0.45% Native American, 1.36% from other races, and 0.68% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.59% of the population.
