Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen (born on October 22, 1976), known by his stage name Laidback Luke, is a DJ and music producer. He was born in the Philippines and grew up in the Netherlands. He is famous for his remixes, like the one for the song "Show Me Love" by Robin S., which was very popular in 2009. Laidback Luke also started his own record label called Mixmash Records.

Laidback Luke's Music Journey
Lucas van Scheppingen was born in Manila, Philippines. His father was Dutch and his mother was Filipino. He grew up in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, with his younger brother. Lucas loved music from a young age and started his career in 1992.

Beyond music, Laidback Luke is also a skilled martial artist. He practices kung fu, specifically a style called Choy Li Fut. He even represented the Netherlands at the World Championship in China in 2013. In March 2018, he was featured on the cover of Men's Health NL magazine, where he talked about his kung fu journey.
