Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen (born in Manila, Philippines, on October 22, 1976) is a famous DJ and music producer. He is known by his stage name, Laidback Luke. He grew up in the Netherlands. One of his most famous works is a remix of the song "Show Me Love" by Robin S.. This remix became very popular in the UK in 2009. Laidback Luke also started his own music company called Mixmash Records.

Laidback Luke's Music Career
Lucas van Scheppingen started making music in 1992. He was born in Manila to a Dutch father and a Filipino mother. He moved to Hoofddorp, Netherlands, where he grew up. From a young age, he loved music.

Besides music, Laidback Luke is also a skilled martial artist. He practices kung fu, especially a style called Choy Li Fut. He even represented the Netherlands at the World Championship in China in 2013. In March 2018, he was featured on the cover of a magazine where he talked about his kung fu journey.
