Early Life and Musical Start
Steve Angello was born in Athens, Greece, to a Greek father and a Swedish mother. He grew up in Solna, Sweden, with his brother Antoine Josefsson, who is also a DJ known as AN21.
Angello's love for music started early. When he was just 12, he became a scratch DJ. This means he used turntables to mix hip-hop, breakbeats, and classic songs from the 1970s. As a teenager, he discovered electronic music and began his journey as an electronic DJ.
Career
Starting Out and Size Records
In his early career, Steve Angello used different names to release music, like Who's Who. He often teamed up with his friend Sebastian Ingrosso to create music under various names.
In 2003, Angello started his own record label called Size Records. A record label helps artists produce and sell their music. Through Size, he released his own songs. In 2006, he and Axwell formed a duo called Supermode. They released a hit song called "Tell Me Why", which became very popular.
Becoming a Star

Angello's fame grew in 2007 when he worked on the song "Baby When the Light" with David Guetta. A year later, he had another huge hit with a new version of the song "Show Me Love". He worked with Dutch DJ Laidback Luke on this track. It reached number one on the UK dance charts and is still a fan favorite.
The Swedish House Mafia Era
In 2008, Angello, Axwell, and Sebastian Ingrosso officially formed the group Swedish House Mafia. They quickly became one of the biggest names in electronic dance music.
First Album: Until One
In 2010, Swedish House Mafia released their first album, Until One. It included the massive hits "One (Your Name)" and "Miami 2 Ibiza". The album also featured some of Angello's solo work, including his famous "Show Me Love" remix. That same year, Angello was ranked number 14 in the world in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll.
Second Album: Until Now
The group's success continued with their second album, Until Now, released in 2012. This album featured hit singles like "Save the World" and "Antidote".
Their most famous song, "Don't You Worry Child", was also on this album. It became a number-one hit in many countries, including the UK and Australia. The song is still loved by millions of fans around the world.
The One Last Tour
In 2012, the group surprised fans by announcing they would be breaking up. They went on a final tour called the One Last Tour. Their last performance was at the Ultra Music Festival in Miami in 2013.
Solo Work and a Surprise Reunion
After Swedish House Mafia split, Angello focused on his solo career and his record label, Size Records. In 2016, he released his first solo album, Wild Youth. It included popular songs like "Wasted Love" and "Remember".
He released his second solo album, Human, in 2018. Just a month before the album came out, something amazing happened. At the 2018 Ultra Music Festival, exactly five years after they split, Swedish House Mafia reunited for a surprise performance. The crowd went wild, and the group later announced they would tour the world again in 2019.
Personal Life
Steve Angello has been friends with Sebastian Ingrosso since they were six years old. In 2013, he married Swedish model and TV star Isabel Adrian. They have two daughters together.
