Music Career Highlights

Early Music Journey (1999–2007)

Sebastian Ingrosso started his music career in 1999. He released his first remix with Mega Records. After that, he kept releasing many remixes and songs. In 2003, Sebastian started his own music label called Refune Music. Later, he worked a lot with other Swedish DJs like Axwell, Steve Angello, Eric Prydz, and Alesso.

Swedish House Mafia and Solo Success (2008–2013)

In late 2008, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, and Axwell formed the group Swedish House Mafia. Eric Prydz did not join because he preferred to work alone. Around this time, Swedish House Mafia released two songs: "Get Dumb" and "Leave the World Behind". However, these songs were not officially credited to the group name.

Ingrosso also worked with David Guetta on songs like "Everytime We Touch" and "How Soon is Now." In 2009, Ingrosso first appeared on the DJ Mag top 100 DJs list at number 25. This was the highest new entry that year.

First Album and Big Hits (2010)

In 2010, he released his first album with Swedish House Mafia, called Until One. This album included two very successful songs: "One (Your Name)" (featuring Pharrell Williams) and "Miami 2 Ibiza" (featuring Tinie Tempah). The album also had solo songs by Sebastian Ingrosso, such as "Kidos" and "Meich." He also remixed "Silvia" by Miike Snow. Ingrosso performed at Tomorrowland for the first time with Swedish House Mafia. He reached his highest position on the DJ Mag poll at number 10. Swedish House Mafia debuted on the same poll at number 23.

More Albums and Solo Songs (2011–2012)

In May 2011, Sebastian Ingrosso started working on his second album with Swedish House Mafia. They released the song Save the World, which featured vocals from Swedish singer John Martin. That summer, Swedish House Mafia performed at Tomorrowland again. In the winter, they released two more songs: "Antidote" and "Greyhound".

In early 2012, Ingrosso released one of his most famous solo songs. It was a collaboration with Swedish DJ Alesso and OneRepublic singer Ryan Tedder. The song, "Calling (Lose My Mind)," became very popular and sold many copies in Sweden. In July, Swedish House Mafia performed at Tomorrowland for the third year in a row. They were a main act. In September, after many successful live shows, Swedish House Mafia released their most popular song, "Don't You Worry Child." This song also featured John Martin's voice. It reached number 1 in Sweden, Australia, and the UK. It also sold millions of copies in many countries. In the same month, Sebastian Ingrosso released his song "Reload" with Tommy Trash. Both "Reload" and "Calling (Lose My Mind)" were included on Swedish House Mafia's second album, Until Now.

The Final Tour and Solo Work (2013)

In November 2012, Swedish House Mafia started their One Last Tour. They had announced in June that this would be their last tour. The group said they would split up after the tour ended at Ultra Music Festival Miami in 2013. During one of their last shows at Madison Square Garden, Ingrosso famously played his drum pad so fast that he broke the sound barrier.

After the group split, Ingrosso went back to his solo music. He added vocals from his frequent collaborator John Martin to his song "Reload." He renamed it "Reload (Take My Hand)." This helped the song become a big hit in Sweden and the UK. In July, Sebastian Ingrosso performed at Tomorrowland as a solo artist for the first time. He played on the main stage. Even though Swedish House Mafia had broken up, Ingrosso worked with Axwell on the song "Roar" for the Monsters University Soundtrack in early 2013. In October, Ingrosso reached a new high on the DJ Mag top 100 DJs list, ranking at number 18.

New Group and First Songs (2014)

Sebastian Ingrosso teamed up with Axwell to form a new group called Axwell Λ Ingrosso. They performed together for the first time at the 2014 Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City. This happened after they released their first collection of songs, called X4. One song from this collection, "We Come, We Rave, We Love," was a final version of a song Swedish House Mafia had started. They played it often during their One Last Tour. A single song, "Something New," was released from the X4 collection in November of that year.

More Songs and Solo Music (2015–2017)

In early 2015, Ingrosso released his second and third songs with Axwell Λ Ingrosso. These were "On My Way" and "Can't Hold Us Down." In June, the duo released their fourth song, "Sun Is Shining." This song became number 1 in Sweden. It was Ingrosso's (and Axwell's) first number 1 hit since "Don't You Worry Child." In July, the duo were main performers at Tomorrowland.

In November 2015, "This Time" was released by Axwell Λ Ingrosso. "Dream Bigger" came out on New Year's Eve. In 2016, Sebastian Ingrosso released his first solo songs since "Roar." These were "FLAGS!" and "Dark River." "Dark River" later appeared on Axwell Λ Ingrosso's first album, More Than You Know. With Axwell Λ Ingrosso, new music included Pharrell Williams's voice on "Dream Bigger" and the release of "Thinking About You." In February 2017, the duo released "I Love You" featuring Kid Ink.

More Than You Know Album (2017)

In early May 2017, Ingrosso released "Renegade," the first song from his second collection with Axwell as Axwell Λ Ingrosso. The collection and its main song, "More Than You Know," were released later that month. The song was very successful and became a hit in many countries. In July, Sebastian Ingrosso performed at Tomorrowland both as a solo artist and with Axwell Λ Ingrosso. His duo was a main act for the event. On December 8, 2017, the duo's first album, More Than You Know, was released. The album included all their previous songs and their new song "Dreamer."

Swedish House Mafia Reunion (2018–Present)

In late March 2018, Sebastian Ingrosso performed at Ultra Miami 2018 as Axwell Λ Ingrosso. At the same festival, Ingrosso also performed as part of Swedish House Mafia. The band reunited after five years for the festival's 20th anniversary. On June 29, Axwell Λ Ingrosso released their first song since their album More Than You Know. It was called "Dancing Alone" and featured British singer RØMANS. A month later, the duo performed at Tomorrowland 2018. During their show, they honored the late DJ Avicii. In August 2018, Axwell Λ Ingrosso announced they would take a break. This was so they could focus on the Swedish House Mafia reunion and their 2019 tour.

On July 25, 2025, Ingrosso released the song "A New Day" with Celine Dion. It was a remix of her 2002 song "A New Day Has Come."
