Early Life and Music Beginnings
John Martin grew up in the southern parts of Stockholm, Sweden. He lived with his mom, dad, and older brother. His dad wanted him and his brother to get into motorsports. But John and his brother chose music instead.
When he was 13, John bought a guitar. He started a band with his friends. They played songs by the band Nirvana. John began singing at 15. The band's singer quit just before a show. John stepped up and found out he loved to sing. He performed in many places in his hometown.
