Lake Rondaxe is a beautiful lake found northeast of Carter Station, New York. It's a great spot for nature lovers and fishing enthusiasts! This lake covers about 248 acres, which is like 188 football fields! It's also pretty deep, reaching up to 33 feet in some places.

Exploring Lake Rondaxe

Lake Rondaxe is home to many different kinds of fish. If you enjoy fishing, you might catch species like atlantic salmon, rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, brook trout, yellow perch, and black bullhead.

For those who love to get out on the water, there's a special launch area on the northwest side of the lake. It's called a "carry down launch," which means you can carry your canoe, kayak, or small boat right to the water from North Rondaxe Road.

Lake Rondaxe is connected to a couple of smaller, interesting water bodies:

  • West Lake – This is a smaller lake, about 32 acres in size, located just south of Lake Rondaxe. West Lake flows directly into Lake Rondaxe. It's another good spot for fishing, with fish species such as brook trout, white sucker, bullhead, rock bass, smallmouth bass, and yellow perch. You can also find a carry down access point on its east shore.
  • Mountain Pond – East of Lake Rondaxe, you'll find Mountain Pond. This small pond also empties its water into Lake Rondaxe, adding to its natural beauty.
