Lansing is a small village in Tompkins County, New York. It is a suburb of Ithaca. In 2020, about 3,648 people lived there.
The Village of Lansing is part of the larger Town of Lansing. It is located just north of the City of Ithaca.

Lansing's History
The Village of Lansing officially became a village in 1974. Before that, the land was home to the Cayuga tribe. Later, it became part of a special area called the Central New York Military Tract.
The Ithaca Tompkins International Airport is partly located in the eastern part of the village.

Lansing is located at 42°29′15″N 76°29′9″W / 42.48750°N 76.48583°W.
The village covers about 4.6 square miles (12.0 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a very small amount of water.
Lansing is found at the southern end of Cayuga Lake. It shares borders with the Towns of Dryden and Ithaca. It also borders the Village of Cayuga Heights.
Major roads like New York State Route 13 and New York State Route 34 pass through or near the village.
