Lawrence Daniel Warford III (born June 18, 1991) is a former American football player. He played as a guard in the National Football League (NFL). Larry played college football for the Kentucky Wildcats. He was chosen by the Detroit Lions in the 2013 NFL draft. He was selected for the Pro Bowl in all three of his seasons with the New Orleans Saints.

Early Life and High School Years
Larry Warford was born in San Diego, California. His father was African American, and his mother was Samoan. He went to Oceanside High School for his first two years of high school. By his sophomore year, he was a starting offensive tackle. He helped protect the team's quarterback, Jordan Wynn.
Later, Larry's family moved to Richmond, Kentucky. This happened after his father retired from the United States Navy. Larry then attended Madison Central High School. He was recognized as an all-state player for two years. In his final year, he was named a first-team all-state selection. Experts saw him as a promising player. Larry chose to play college football at the University of Kentucky.
College Football Career
Larry Warford played college football at the University of Kentucky. He was part of the Kentucky Wildcats football team from 2009 to 2012. When he first started, he was mostly a backup player. He played in 10 games as a reserve right guard.
By his sophomore year, Larry earned a starting position. He then started 37 games in a row for the Wildcats. He was named to the second-team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) for three years in a row. This showed he was one of the best players in his conference.

Playing for the Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions picked Larry Warford in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft. He was the 65th player chosen overall. Larry signed his first professional contract with the Lions on May 9, 2013.
In his very first season, Larry became a starter for the Lions. He played as the right guard. He had an amazing rookie year and did not allow any sacks during the entire 2013 season. He was named the Rookie of the Year by Pro Football Focus. He also received the Detroit Lions' own Rookie of the Year Award. Larry started all 16 regular-season games in his rookie year. He was also named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team, which recognizes the best new players in the league.
Time with the New Orleans Saints
On March 9, 2017, Larry Warford signed a new contract. He joined the New Orleans Saints for four years. The contract was worth $34 million. In his first season with the Saints, he started 14 games at right guard. He missed two games because of an injury. Despite this, he was chosen for his first Pro Bowl.
In 2018, Larry started 15 games for the Saints. He was again selected for the Pro Bowl, making it his second time in a row. In 2019, he was chosen for his third straight Pro Bowl. This showed he was one of the best guards in the NFL.
On May 8, 2020, the Saints released Larry Warford. He had played three seasons with the team. Later, on July 28, 2020, Larry decided not to play in the 2020 season. He opted out due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic.
