Lawrence Daniel Warford III (born June 18, 1991) is a former American football player. He played as a guard in the National Football League (NFL). Larry played college football for the Kentucky Wildcats. The Detroit Lions picked him in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft. He was chosen for the Pro Bowl in all three seasons he played with the New Orleans Saints.

Early Life and High School Football
Larry Warford was born in San Diego, California. His father was African American, and his mother was Samoan. He went to Oceanside High School for his first two years. By his second year, he was a starting offensive tackle. This position helps protect the quarterback. One of his teammates was Brian Schwenke.
After his father retired from the United States Navy, Larry's family moved. They went to Richmond, Kentucky. There, he attended Madison Central High School. He became a top player in the state for two years. In his final year, he was named one of the best players in Kentucky.
Many experts saw Larry as a promising player for college. He chose to play for the University of Kentucky. He picked Kentucky over other big schools like Auburn and Louisville.
College Football Career
Larry Warford played for the Kentucky Wildcats football team. He was with them from 2009 to 2012. When he first started, he was mostly a backup player. He played in 10 games as a right guard.
In his second year, he earned a starting spot. From then on, he started 37 games in a row for the Wildcats. He was recognized as one of the best players in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). He earned second-team All-SEC honors for three years in a row.

Playing for the Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions picked Larry Warford in the 2013 NFL draft. He was the 65th player chosen overall. He signed his first professional contract with the Lions on May 9, 2013.
In his first year, Larry immediately became a starting right guard for the Lions. He played so well that he did not let any opposing players tackle his team's quarterback. This was a great achievement for a rookie. He was named the Rookie of the Year by Pro Football Focus. He also won the Detroit Lions' own Rookie of the Year Award. Larry started all 16 regular-season games in his first year. He was also named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team.
Time with the New Orleans Saints
On March 9, 2017, Larry Warford joined the New Orleans Saints. He signed a four-year contract with them. In his first season with the Saints, he started 14 games as a right guard. He missed two games because of an injury. Despite this, he was chosen for his first Pro Bowl.
In 2018, Larry started 15 games for the Saints. He was again selected for the Pro Bowl, making it his second time. In 2019, he was chosen for his third straight Pro Bowl.
