Las Condes is a city area, called a 'commune', in Chile. It's located in Santiago Province, which is part of the Santiago Metropolitan Region. Many families with higher incomes live here. It's known as a place where many important businesses and wealthy people are located.

Most of the shops and businesses are found along Apoquindo Avenue. People sometimes call this area "Sanhattan" because it looks a bit like Manhattan in New York City, with its tall buildings. Las Condes is in the northeastern part of Santiago, the capital city of Chile.

Education in Las Condes

Las Condes has several well-known schools.

The Deutsche Schule Santiago (also known as Colegio Alemán de Santiago) is a German school. It has two campuses in Las Condes. One campus, called Las Condes, is for students in Years 7-12 and also has the school's main office. The other campus, Cerro Colorado, is for preschool children.

The Scuola Italiana Vittorio Montiglio, which is an Italian school, is also located in Las Condes.
