This township is located in northern Pennsylvania. It completely surrounds the town of Lawrenceville on its western, southern, and eastern sides.
To the north, Lawrence Township shares a border with three towns in Steuben County, New York: Tuscarora, Lindley, and Caton. To its east, you'll find Jackson Township. To the south, it borders Tioga Township and Farmington Township. Finally, to the west, it meets Nelson Township.

- Cowanesque Lake – This is a man-made lake formed by the Cowanesque River. You can find it in the northwestern part of the township, southwest of Lawrenceville.
- C V Junction – A village located along U.S. Route 15. It's about one mile south of Lawrenceville.
- East Lawrence – This village is in the eastern part of the township, southeast of Lawrenceville.
- Lawrenceville – This is a separate town (a borough) right where Pennsylvania Route 49 and U.S. Route 15 meet, just south of the New York state line. Lawrence Township surrounds it.
- Pritchard – This used to be a village along the Cowanesque River. It was removed when Cowanesque Lake was built.
- Somers Lane – A village found along U.S. Route 15, in the middle of the township.
- Tioga Junction – This village is located where U.S. Route 15 and Pennsylvania Route 328 come together.
- Tompkins – Another former village near the western end of the township. It was also removed to make way for Cowanesque Lake. Today, the Tompkins Campground is near its old location.
