History
Lebam has an interesting story behind its name. It was first called Half Moon or Half Moon Creek. This name likely came from a nearby stream or geographical feature.
Later, the town was renamed Lebam. This unique name comes from an early settler named J.W. Goodell. He simply spelled his daughter's name, Mabel, backward to create the town's new name.
