Lisa Coles Guerrero (born April 9, 1964) is an American journalist, actress, and former sportscaster. She is also an artist and model. From 2006 to June 2025, Lisa Guerrero was an investigative reporter for the TV news show Inside Edition.

Early Life and Family

Lisa Guerrero was born in Chicago, Illinois. Her father, Walter Coles, was of English background. Her mother, Lucy Guerrero, was from Chile. Lisa spent her childhood in San Diego, California and Huntington Beach, California. Sadly, when she was eight years old in 1972, her mother passed away from cancer.

Career Highlights

Starting in Entertainment and Acting

Lisa Guerrero began her career in the 1980s. She was a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Rams football team. Later, she became the entertainment director for the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots.

In the 1990s, she acted in several TV shows. She played Francesca Vargas in Aaron Spelling's Sunset Beach. She also appeared as a guest star on popular shows like Frasier, Cybill, George Lopez, and In the Heat of the Night. In 1992, she had a small role in the superhero movie Batman Returns.

In 1997, Lisa became a sports anchor for TV stations in Los Angeles, including KCBS-TV and KTTV.

Working in Sports Media

In 1999, Lisa Guerrero joined the Fox Network. She hosted shows like Sports Geniuses, Fox Overtime, and Fox Extra Innings. She also hosted the Toughman competition shows. Lisa was the first female host for the San Diego Chargers' TV show. .....

In 2003, she became a sideline reporter for ABC's Monday Night Football. She worked there for one season.

On June 15, 2006, Lisa Guerrero joined Inside Edition as a correspondent. She later became the show's chief investigative correspondent. In this role, she worked on many undercover stories and special reports.

In 2011, she won the National Headliner Award for Best Investigative Report. This award was for her undercover story about air duct cleaning scams. She also received nominations for other awards. These included a Prism Award for a story on alcohol and boating safety. She also got a Genesis Award nomination for her report on horse slaughter farms in Florida.

Lisa Guerrero has won over 35 national journalism awards since 2010. In June 2025, she announced that she was leaving Inside Edition.

She and her former husband, Scott Erickson, made an independent film called A Plumm Summer (2007). Lisa played the main character and was also an executive producer. She also co-hosted VH1's game show The World Series of Pop Culture. In 2010, she hosted the first live webcast of the 82nd Academy Awards red carpet for Oscar.com.
