This album, released in Japan on June 10, 1998, features music from the first Pokémon TV series. It includes orchestral versions of songs from the first four Pokémon games by Junichi Masuda, plus new music from the show. The album also has the TV versions of the first Japanese opening song, "Mezase Pokémon Masutā," and the third ending song, "Poketto ni Fantajī." Each instrumental track has a short comment from Ash's Pokédex, explaining where the music plays in the story.
